The Cub Scout Geology Mining Event can be used either as a great Family event or a more structured program can be put together to allow your scouts to earn their Geology Belt Loop and/or Geology Academics Pin with our personal instruction.

Scouts will receive a Pre-Program worksheet to be handed out for better understanding of this topic.  Students will also be required to fill in our Event Worksheet during our presentation to make sure they get the most out of this program.

Rocks and minerals earth science resources will let students break open some very cool crystal-filled 100-million year old Geodes that they can add to their own collection.
